Whether it’s for a date, a day out with the family or a day with some friends, a museum is a place of bonding. Old-Montreal has museums within walking distance of each other, so you can explore the history, art and architecture of the city!


GO BACK IN TIME WITH THE MUSEUM OF ARCHAEOLOGY AND HISTORY

The Montreal Museum of Archaeology and history is full of archaeological digs, interactive exhibits, and audio content! This will certainly be an educational visit, and all their services are bilingual.

The Montreal Science Centre is an interactive and educational museum right on the old port. They offer science and technology exhibits for people of all ages, with an IMAX theatre featuring different educational documentaries! The location is great next to the water, with lots of food trucks nearby in the warmer months.

Interested in seeing old Canadian currency up close and how an old bank used to function? The Bank of Montreal Museum is the perfect place for you. The museum is an open, personable exhibit offering historical, a teller’s station and mechanical banks.

If you’re interested in the early and post-colonial history of Montreal, Château Ramezay is the place to explore. This 18th-century home that once hosted political leaders is now the home to history exhibits and workshops. The staff are always dressed the part, and the atmosphere is exciting!

With their exhibits and art constantly changing, Centre Phi is a venue for various forms of art. It features concerts, film screenings, plays, art exhibits and much more.
